NPP activists hold protest

National Panthers Party (NPP) activists today held a demonstration to protest against the imposition of service tax on helicopter service for Vaishno Devi pilgrims.

National Panthers Party (NPP) activists today held a demonstration to protest against the imposition of service tax on helicopter service for Vaishno Devi pilgrims.  

As per a press release, the NPP activists led by party General Secretary, Anita Thakur assembled at City Chowk, and lodged a strong protest. 

 They raised slogans against the PDP- BJP coalition government and the Finance Minister.   

Prominent among those who participated in the protest were Bansi Lal Sharma Adv. Advisor JKNPP, Jagdev Singh Coordination General Secretary, S. Paramjit Singh Marshal, State President PTU, Sham Gorka Vice-President PTU and others.  

The speakers demanded dismissal of BJP –PDP government and threatened to launch a mass movement against the state government decision. 

The JKNPP leaders accused the BJP of 'providing crutches to the Mufti government with the blessing of Prime Minister Modi to demolish secular fabric of J&K'.  The Panthers Party declared that this movement by the Party and all its units shall be carried to every district of 'Jammu Pradesh' till the 'draconian' law is withdrawn.
