Jammu and Kashmir National Panther Party (JKNPP) has extended its support to Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) Teachers which are agitating against delay in release of salaries.
In a press statement, Harsh Dev Singh, Chairman JKNPP and former Education Minister said that delay in release of salaries of Masters, teachers and RETs appointed under SSA and RMSA, for the last 7 months is unfortunate and will hamper the education sector of state.
He deplore that thousands of families were on the verge of starvation due to the callous attitude of the government He regretted that the arrears of Education volunteers (EVs) converted as RETs / teachers were pending for the last 18 months.
Describing the issue being agitated by the teaching community as most genuine, he said that JKNPP stand toe to toe with agitating educationalists.
He urged upon the state government to appropriately address genuine concerns of teaching community including release of their pending wages at the earliest.
