The State administration has finalized arrangements of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra starting from July 2.
As per defence sources, Jammu Srinagar National Highway put under thick security blanket guarded by CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir police while troops of Army's Environment Security wing deployed on higher reaches to oversee the suspicious movements.
"All the venerable stretches including Nandani Tunnels, Chenani-Udhampur , Kud- Patnitop, Jawahar Tunnels and langras and temples en-route put under complete security blankets by para military forces and state police , while Army is deployed in higher reaches to oversee any specious activity," sources said.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir State Road of Transport Corporation (JKSRTC) also geared up its men and machinery for the 48-day Amarnath Yatra.
Sources said JKSRTC has set up a booking counter for the yatris at Bhagwati Nagar from where they can book their tickets for their onward journey to perform darshan of Shri Amarnath Ji.
The added that over 200 SRTC buses would ply on different routes leading to cave from Bhagwati Nagar in three categories including Super Deluxe, Deluxe and Semi-Deluxe.
