Hitting out at Peoples Democratic Party, National Conference on Saturday alleged that ruling party has backstabbed the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement here, Youth NC Provincial President Ajaz Jan said, "After failing to control the situation the PDP is now trying to shift the blame on others and is leveling baseless allegations against National Conference. Some statements of PDP leaders targeting NC are completely out of context and baseless and are aimed at diverting attention," Jan said.
" PDP has a history of backstabbing. It pulled out from Ghulam Nabi Azad led government over Amarnath Yatra Land Row and also tried its best to topple Omar Abdullah government, " Jan stated.
Reacting sharply to some statements of PDP leaders, Jan said that even in opposition National Conference is trying hard to restore normalcy and a delegation of opposition party leaders also called upon President of India and apprised him about the law and order situation in Kashmir." We have asked our workers to work tirelessly for restoration of normalcy as we want complete peace in the state," he said.
He said that some ministers of government are busy in getting publicity in Jammu when people are dying in Kashmir while rest all are missing. "Even Chief Minister has appeared on the scene twice or thrice since the trouble erupted. This shows that government is completely missing on the ground."
" When PDP was in opposition, it's leaders added fuel to the fire and NC, which is opposition at this time, is trying to restore peace which shows difference between the approach of both the parties " Jan said.
