A high level team of National Investigation Agency (NIA) has reportedly scrutinized the records of Poonch LoC Trade Centre in connection with an 'unknown' probe, sources and reports said.

Sources in police said that the NIA team led by a senior officer arrived in border district Poonch yesterday and straightway went to LoC trade centre at Chakan Da Bagh.

"The NIA team summoned the staff of the centre including senior officers and demanded  the record, particularly related to trade done in past few months" sources said.

Today the NIA team scrutinized the record with the help of the local staff of the trade centre for whole day, sources added.

"Although we are not aware about the exact subject of the investigation but it is a high level probe" officials associated with LoC trade said.

Some other sources informed that trade done via LoC between traders of India and Pakistan is under scanner for the reasons best known to NIA.

It is pertinent to mention here that traders of India and Pakistan exchange several permitted items via two LoC points in Jammu and Kashmir through barter system of trading. The trade runs for four days a week across LoC trading point located in Chakan Da Bagh in Poonch district of Jammu province  and Salamabad Uri in Baramulla district of Kashmir province.
