Judicial Academy holds orientation for Principal District Judges

A one day special orientation training programme for Principal District Judges of Jammu province on National Judicial Data Grid (NJDG) was conducted in the J&K State Judicial Academy at Jammu today.

A one day special orientation training programme for Principal District Judges of Jammu province on National Judicial Data Grid (NJDG) was conducted in the J&K State Judicial Academy at Jammu today.

The event was held under the guidance and patronage of Chief Patron of State Judicial Academy, Justice N. Paul Vasanthakumar, Chief Justice, High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and governing body of the State Judicial Academy, Justice Alok Aradhe, Chairman, Justice Ali Muhammad Magrey and Justice Janak Raj Kotwal, Members and Computer and e-court (e-Governance) Committee Chairman, Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur, Member. 

Proceedings were conducted by Abdul Rashid Malik, Director, State Judicial Academy. In his welcome address, Director, State Judicial Academy extended warm welcome to the Principal District and Sessions Judges and highlighted the background of the creation of NJDG. 

Malik Shabir Ahmad, Central Project Co-ordinator (E-courts) High Court of J&K discussed in detail the use and efficacy of NJDG through power point presentation and sensitized the Judicial Officers about the techniques in using NJDG as a monitoring tool in case management in the courts.

Principal District Judges interacted with the Resource persons regarding the implementation of the NJDG and minute details of the data grid and vowed to make best use of NJDG in court and case management system. Programme concluded with the vote of thanks by the Director, J&K State Judicial Academy.

Javid Mir calls on Pak Deputy HC 

Srinagar, Feb 5: Senior Hurriyat leader and Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (H) today called on Pakistan Deputy High Commissioner Syed Haider Shah in New Delhi. 

Party spokesperson in a statement said Mir is in New Delhi for his third eye surgery. 

"On the occassion, Mir discussed the current political situation  and thanked government of Pakistan for extending moral and diplomatic support to Kashmir cause since 1947," party spokesperson quoting Mir said.
