All J&K ReT Teachers' Forum today held its monthly meeting at Udhampur during which the teachers demanded release of SSA salaries and a regularization and transfer policy.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of state president Vinod Sharma and district president Lekh Raj Parihar, and was attended by the executive members of the Forum and zonal presidents.
While speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma urged the education minister and finance minister to make provision for the streamlining of salary of SSA teachers and clearing their dues like Pay arrears and DA arrears.
He said though, education minister has shown his concerns to streamline the SSA salary and even visited MHRD in this regard but the SSA teachers are still waiting anxiously for the same.
He also demanded the regularisation of ReTs whose files are lying in Directorate of School Education and have obtained degrees from UGC recognized universities.
He also demanded a transfer policy in favour of regularised ReT teachers as per High Court judgement and said that they are hopeful that the new education minister will consider the issues of ReTs sympathetically and mitigate their sufferings.
Lekh Raj Parihar, while speaking on the occasion, said that some ZEOs are harassing the teachers on one or the other pretext which will not be tolerated.
He said soon they will ghearao such ZEOs.
Sukhdev Singh Sumbria, Sukesh Khajuria, Sham Sharma, Ashok Seth, Pritam Goswami, Chain Singh, Ravinder Rathore, Sushil Singh, Kuldip Singh, Anil Sharma, Sandeep Sharma, Suresh Sharma, Mohd Saleem, Parshant Sharma and others also spoke on the occasion.
