Deputy speaker Nazir Ahmad Gurezi on Wednesday ordered a lady officer to move out of the officer gallery in the Legislative Assembly after she was caught talking over phone during the proceedings of the House.

The deputy speaker also ordered the Assembly security to seize the cellphone of the officer.

"Seize the cell phone of the officer and ask her to go out from the gallery," Gurezi directed following which the lady officer left the officers gallery.

Gurezi said the officers should take the House serious and not attend the proceedings to make phone calls in gallery. "I appeal all the members that we should respect this House," Gurezi remarked.

After few minutes, the minister for relief and rehabilitation, Javid Mustafa Mir apologized on behalf of the officer and requested the deputy speaker to allow her to come inside the gallery.

Later, the lady officer was allowed by the deputy speaker to come inside the gallery.
