As many as 1211 people, who were stranded in Pathankot district of Punjab due to lockdown, were brought today to Lakhanpur as they completed 21 days of quarantine at different centers of Pathankot.
DC Kathua said a team of doctors and paramedical staffrecorded their temperature and filled a self reporting form at Lakhanpurindicating their personal information and travel history. The DistrictAdministration arranged a fleet of SRTC buses to send them to their respectivedistricts.
According to official, 350 people were from Kashmir while rest of them belong to Jammu. The DDC along with SSP, Shailendra Mishra also inspected arrangements at Lakhanpur to stop spread of coronavirus. ADC Kathua, Atul Gupta, Nodal Officer for Lakhanpur control room, ArvindKarwani, ASP, Ramnish Gupta, DSP HQ, Majid Mehboob, DSP DAR, K D Bhagat, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars and other officers were also present.
