3 held in Samba JKAS aspirant’s death case

Samba, Dec 4: Samba police Monday stated to have solved the mysterious death case of female JKAS aspirant by arresting three accused, including her husband and two women for abetment to suicide.

A police spokesperson said that Bari Brahmana Police, vide DDR No 24 dated January 8, 2018, had initiated inquest proceedings u/s 174 CrPC to ascertain the actual cause of death of JKAS aspirant Parveen Kumari, whose dead body was found under mysterious circumstances at Badhoi, Bari Brahmana.

   

Police had seized suicide note, written by the deceased Parveen Kumari, who happened to be a well-educated (MSc; B Ed) housewife.

“After concluding inquest proceedings on merits on the basis of oral and documentary evidence as well as FSL and medical reports, the Police had converted inquest into FIR No 199/2020 u/s 306 IPC and investigation was started. Case was proved against Raghubir Singh, son of Pritam Singh, resident of Uppar Barnai, tehsil Janipur, district Jammu and two others. All the three accused have been arrested,” the
spokesperson said.

“The accused have been arrested by a police team headed by SHO Police Station Bari Brahmana Sumit Sharma. SDPO Bari Brahmana Rahul Nagar and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary supervised the operation,” he added.

Meanwhile, Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that no mysterious death case would remain unsolved in Samba district and all the accused involved in murders, culpable homicides or abetment to suicides would be arrested at the earliest possible.
