310 KP migrants cast votes in Jammu, Udhampur

A total of 310 Kashmiri Pandit migrants polled their votes in Jammu and Udhampur polling stations established for 6th Phase of District Development Council (DDC) elections in Kashmir Valley.

The polling started at 7 AM and it concluded at 2 PM. Atleast 14 polling stations were established at Government Women College, Gandhi Nagar in which 300 votes were polled by the Kashmiri Pandit Migrants.

   

As per the official figures, 105 votes were casted at Natnussa (Kupwara) polling station, 60 in Breng (Anantnag), 47 Newa (Pulwama), 39 Achabal (Anantnag), 8 Pahloo (Kulgam), 8 Rohama (Baramulla), 4 in Baramulla, 9 Chadoora, 8 Nagam (Budgam), 3 Imamsahib – I (Shopian), and 9 Imamsahib-II (Shopian).

No voter turned out at polling station Safapora (Ganderbal), Bandipora-I and Bandipora-II, the official figures revealed.

Meanwhile, 14 polling stations were also established for the Kashmiri Pandit Migrants at Government Girls Higher Secondary School in Udhampur District.

However, 10 voters casted their votes i.e., 6 in Rohama (Baramulla) and 4 in Achabal (Anantnag). In all 12, polling stations no one turned up for casting their votes. The voting ended peacefully.
