Jammu, Dec 3: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Friday trapped and arrested a patwari and his agent for accepting a bribe.
A statement of ACB issued here said that Patwari Thather Bantalab, Jammu, Munish Singh Charak, and his tout Ashif Choudhary were accepted for accepting a bribe of Rs 4000.
It said that the ACB received a complaint wherein the complainant alleged that he had purchased seven marlas of land at Pooja Colony, Thather Bantalab, Jammu, and got it registered from the competent authority after depositing Rs 1000 for mutation of the land in North Tehsil Office, Jammu.
The statement said that the complainant alleged that he had handed over all documents to the concerned Patwari for mutation of the land in his name.
It said that the Patwari Charak demanded Rs 4000 as a bribe from the complainant for the mutation.
