Various dignitaries called on Governor Satya Pal Malik at Raj Bhavan here on Saturday, an official spokesman said.
Member Parliament, Muzaffar Hussain Baig, called on Governor Malik and discussed various issues relating to public importance and obtaining situation in the state.
Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam met the Governor Malik and discussed with him a range of significant issues pertaining to responsive, accountable and transparent administration, besides security management.
The Governor stressed the crucial importance of effective law and order maintenance and every possible measures being taken for the safety and security of people and regain the trust of youth.
A delegation of contractual doctors led by Dr Suhaila Rashid Khan requested Governor to urge the concerned for regularization of their services. These doctors were appointed under SRO.As many as 384 and have been extending patient care in Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu and Srinagar respectively.
The Governor observed that necessary directions would be passed to the concerned to examine and to take appropriate action.
A delegation of trained landscapers and gardeners led by Tashooq Ahmad Sheikh, met Governor Malik and requested him to urge the concerned for their engagement in the Floriculture department.
