Samba, Nov 20: Reiterating that the BharatiyaJanata Party is committed and resolute enough to serve the marginalised people, especially those dwelling in remote, backward and border areas, former minister and Pradesh Vice President Surjeet Singh Slathia today said that effective initiatives have been taken in this regard across Jammu and Kashmir during the past over four years in a mission mode.
“BJP has been working tirelessly to build a prosperous and peaceful J&K, where every citizen can realize their full potential”, Slathia said while exhorting the people to strive for a brighter and more inclusive future for all by strengthening the hands of Prime Minister NarendraModi.
Slathia was speaking during the “Booth Jan MahaSamvad” programme in Ward Nos 15, 16 and 17 in MandiThlora of the Samba district.
He said the BJP’s vision about progressive and prosperous J&K extends beyond regional and religious boundaries and encompasses the upliftment and empowerment of every individual in the diverse society. In pursuit of this mission, the party recognizes the importance of addressing the needs of the marginalized and all those left behind by the self centric political leadership over the decades.
“BJP believes in creating vistas of opportunities that bridge the gaps and ensure that no one is left behind in the odyssey of progress, development and economic emancipation for all”, Slathia said, adding that thrust is being laid on quality education, healthcare, and access to economic resources. He said this being the motivation, policies are being designed to empower the marginalized, fostering an environment where their voices are heard and their concerns are addressed. By promoting skill development initiatives and employment opportunities, the BJP has been working for the inclusive uplift of all, he added.
Slathia said the BJP is the only party that can face the challenges to Jammu and Kashmir with courage and commitment, in fact a substantial headway has been made in this regard in the recent years that has manifested in safe and secure security environment in the Kashmir Valley, giving big boost to economy and tourism sector. This is the biggest achievement of the Modi government which has been working for holistic and inclusive development of the Union Territory, he maintained.
