Member Legislative Assembly Nowshera, Ravinder Raina today demanded a complete ban on the sale of liquor in Jammu and Kashmir and also demanded that the cross LoC trade with Pak via Poonch should be snapped as "Pakistan recently targeted Trade Felicitation Centre with mortar shells."  

Talking to mediapersons on the sidelines of District Development Board meeting in Rajouri, the BJP MLA from Nowshera, Ravinder Raina, said that he has raised the demand of ban on liquor in Rajouri district in today's DDB meeting.

"I am of the view that there should be complete ban on liquor sale across J&K and a resolution in this regard was also put before the house in assembly session recently," Raina said adding that however, government did not pay any attention to this.  

"Today I raised my demand in DDB meeting and have demanded ban on sale in Rajouri district," he said.  

MLA Raina said that alcohol and drugs are damaging the morale of society.  

Raina while commenting upon recent mortar shelling on Poonch LoC and damage to TFC Chakan Da Bagh, said that there is need to snap ties of cross LoC trade with Pak as on one side "we are sharing goods and on the other Pakistan is attacking our TFC."
