Alleging BJP of having sold its every single slogan and its fundamentals for power, former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla today said it had proved that lust knew no bars, no red lines.
This he said in a public gathering organized at Bhour Kullian, Narwal Bala in Gandhi Nagar constituency.
Accusing the BJP of bartering away the pride and honor of people of Jammu region to satisfy its lust for power, he appealed Jammuites to oppose, expose and depose the BJP’s Juggernaut for its demagoguery and sheer opportunism. He was addressing a well attended public gathering at Bhour Kullian, Narwal Bala in Gandhi Nagar constituency on Sunday. Prominent among those present on the occasion include Ex.Sarpanch & Block President Amrit Bali,Ex Corporator Kamal Singh, Avtar Singh Shanty, Pawan Bhagat Lamardhar, Bal krishan, Shan Lal,Trisham Lal, Tatinder Singh, Panch Billa.
As per press statement, He said that the three years rule of BJP was a grimy tale of failures and betrayals with none of its elected representatives raking up the promised issues of Jammu region.
He regretted that BJP leaders were still describing the agenda of alliance as sacred and visionary despite it showing total disregard for the concerns of Jammu region.
He deplored that not a single slogan or election promise of BJP had been incorporated in the said agenda and still the said agenda was ‘sacrosanct’ for the BJP.
Urging upon the Jammu based leaders to assert, he said that the BJP must insist on incorporation of its election time promises in the Agenda of Alliance if want to remain in government.
Bhalla said BJP miserably failed to rake up any of its issues or at least initiate any discussion in respect of them thus meekly and pusillanimously surrendering to the whims of its highly powerful and dominant partner. Regretting the lame duck posturing of the BJP legislators virtually on all issues, Bhalla said that the people of Jammu region feel utterly cheated and betrayed for the failure of its legislators to represent and agitate their concerns.
The former Minister said the PDP-BJP government rather than engaging with aggrieved people with an aim to address their issues, had chosen to tread a path of isolation, arrogance and confrontation contradicting the promises made in the ‘Agenda of the Alliance’.
Addressing the women present in good number in programme, Bhalla said that the basic need of one’s life is becoming unaffordable day by day due to soaring inflation. And the worst hit are the housewives, whose monthly budget has gone awry due to spiraling price hike of vegetables and fruits due to inflation. Households in the city are finding it hard to manage their monthly budget because of skyrocketing prices, he added.
Castigating PDP-BJP coalition for pushing people to the wall, Bhalla said Jammu region has been worst hit where the government is almost missing with administrative inertia reflected in every sphere. He urged the people of Jammu province to sit up to find if they committed a grave blunder by voting for the anti-Jammu BJP and if they came to the conclusion that they did, then they must get united to get rid of the anti-Jammu PDP-BJP Raj and work for a dispensation that is exclusively of them, by them and for them.
