A team of Crime Branch of Jammu and Kashmir police came under a heavy stone pelting allegedly by people in Mendhar area of Poonch district on Thursday morning, the eyewitness said.
Officials said that the team was on an investigation of a case pertaining to a scam of doubling the deposited cash.

A case was registered in Crime Branch police station Jammu last year after a large number of people complained of a major scam running in crores in which some people running a private firm took money from people on the pretext of doubling the same in a short time but went missing after taking the amount.
