The J&K Congress on Tuesday criticized the government for delaying disbursement of wages to daily wagers, casual labourers, need-based and others from different departments.
The party chief spokesman, Ravinder Sharma said even thosewho have donated land for setting up infrastructure of various departments werebeing denied the due wages.
“These youth were engaged on regular basis from time to timehowever they are also not paid regular wages along with others, which isunfortunate,” said Sharma.
He said all categories of workers were being exploited bythe government. “Their number has increased from 61,000 in 2014 to over onelakh during PDP-BJP coalition,” Sharma said.
He made an appeal to the government not to play with theirlives and at least pay these workers regularly till formal orders/decision fortheir regularization.
