Principal Secretary Animal & Sheep Husbandry, Asgar Hassan Samoon, Monday directed the officials concerned to complete all languishing projects of the departments before end of this month.
He was speaking at a review meetingconvened to take stock of progress on the languishing projects.
The meeting was attended by Directors ofAnimal and Sheep Husbandry Departments from both the divisions, Chief AnimalHusbandry Officers and Chief Sheep Husbandry Officers of all the districts,Engineers from executing agencies like R&B, PHE and others.
The Principal Secretary reviewed each ofthe projects and ascertained their current status from the officers. He askedthem to work in collaboration with the district administration for ensuringthat these projects get completed at earliest.
It was informed that among the 44 projectsof Animal and Sheep Husbandry departments, four have been completed, paymentsagainst 13 projects have been released, one project has been uploaded forpayment, four projects were geo-tagged and 22 were at different stages ofcompletion.
Further, it was revealed that AnimalHusbandry has nine projects, each in Kashmir and Jammu divisions; SheepHusbandry has eight projects in Kashmir and 15 in Jammu whereas Fisheries hasthree 3 projects funded under the languishing category.
