The Congress Party today paid rich tributes to GM Sadiq, former Chief Minister and founder of the party in J&K State, and GN Mir Lasjan (former minister).
The meeting to pay tributes was held at party headquarters and was attended by the functionaries of PCC. It was presided over by Anil Chopra- President DCC Jammu.
While paying tributes, the leaders described GM Sadiq as the most competent and an able administrator who gave corruption free and efficient administration to the people of Jammu and Kashmir State. Sadiq played an important role to further cement the State-Centre relationship and brought J&K more closer to rest of the country by taking several important and effective constitutional measures, the Congress leaders said.
He was a revolutionary and most honest leader whose thoughts, policies and programmes are relevant and guiding factors for all the times to come, they said.
He was first Congress Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and his tenure is remembered even today as an exemplary one in terms of clean and efficient administration, the leaders said while remembering Late Sadiq.
The leaders also remembered the services of Syed Mir Qasim and GN Mir Lasjan and described them as best administrators who always cared for people and kept their interests above all.
