Congress pays homage to slain CRPF soldiers

The district Congress committee, Ramban, on Sunday organized a programme to pay tributes to the CRPF soldiers who were killed on Thursday in Lethpora, Pulwama.

The programme was organised at Committee Hall, Ramban, in which Fairoz Khan, former national president NSUI, DCC president  Farooq Katoch, former member legislative assembly Ashok Kumar Dogra, state president GBC Haji Mohammad Yousuf, vice-president IshaqKhandey and several others participated.

   

At the onset, a two-minute silence was observed in remembrance of the CRPF soldiers, while later, floral tributes were paid to the slain soldiers.

Speaking on the occasion, Fairoz Khan said, “Militancy, in any form, is highly condemnable. The country will always remember the sacrifice of the brave soldiers. The entire country as well as DCC Ramban stand with the families of the slain soldiers and offer the deepest condolence to the family members.”

Farooq Katoch, during his address, said, “It is a matter of grave concern that some vested interest are politicizing the situation.”

Mohammad Iqbal Katoch, Pawan Singh, Abdul Raheem Bali and FeyaazKoka also spoke on the occasion. Among others, Gopal Raina, RanjeetDogra, ZubairKatoch, Puran Singh, Rakesh, Kunjlal, Kartaar, Shubam Kumar, Jahangir Katoch and Usman Naik were also present in the programme.
