The workers of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena (DF&SS) today held a strong protest demonstration in city against the beating of Army Personal in Kashmir who were returning from poll duty.
The protesters, led by president Ashok Gupta, demanded that security forces should be given free hand to retaliate to such attacks.
"The security personnel were carrying guns but they showed maximum restrain even though they were punched, kicked and beaten by the mob," Gupta said and demanded "free hand should be given to security forces so that they are not attacked and humiliated in future".
Gupta said, there are allegations that CRPF uses pellet guns but the video clearly shows that CRPF men were being harassed and attacked but they did not retaliate.
The kind of restraint they are observing is really commendable because they gave importance to the security of the EVMs and they want to save democracy, Gupta said.
He said if security forces can't even protect themselves than how they will tackle terrorism if their hands are tied.
Suresh, Kimti, Dilbagh, Balver, Goldie, Vickoo, Ashish, Pradhanu, Narendra, Veena, Geeta, Bachan, Sonu, Kalu, Ramesh, Bantu, Abhishek and various others participated in the protest. GKNN
