Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress senior leader and former minister on Tuesday alleged that ruling BJP gagged voice of the weaker sections by ignoring their wishes and aspirations.
Speaking at a party conference of Scheduled Castes (SCs) here at Qasim Nagar, Bhalla said, “It is a historical fact that BJP leadership has always tried its best to snatch constitutional rights from the weaker sections be it SCs, STs or OBCs”, and added, ” Despite getting support from weaker sections BJP has not given adequate representation to SCs and other weaker sections”.
Shishpal Singh,national secretary IYC ,who was also present on the occasion said, “The efforts made by Congress ministers to empowerment the weaker sections has been undone by the present dispensation.BJP has totally failed in delivering justice to the people belonging to reserved categories “.
While lambasted BJP for pursuing anti weaker section policies, PYC president, Pranav Shagotra said, “They have callously ignored the interests of SC population”.
Prominent among those who also spoke on the occasion included Satish Sharma,Rajvir Manhas, Balbir Singh, Chetan Wanchoo, Ricky Dalotra and others .
