Fake job racket busted, 3 held for looting crores

Jammu Police on Wednesday busted a fake job racket and arrested three persons who duped people in the name of providing government Jobs against heavy cash payments, the spokesman said.

He said that the accused looted people in the name of providing government jobs with crores of rupees.

   

He said that on January 3rd of this year, Police Station Janipur Jammu received a complaint from Shanker Singh resident of Sharika Vihar Lower Roop Nagar, Jammu, that he along with 21 persons have been duped by five men in the name of providing  jobs.

The complainant identified them as Ajay Bali, resident of Sharika Vihar, Lower Roop Nagar, Jammu, Mohd Ayoub Sheikh resident of Harnag Khannebal Anantnag, Kashmir, Mohd Ashraf Sheikh resident of Chambgund Kulgam, Kashmir, Mohd Yousif Bhat resident of Sangam, Kashmir, and Prithivi Singh resident of Seri Ramban.

The complainant said that about 1 crore 20 lacs rupees have been given to these five men who promised of providing government Jobs.

Appointment letters were provided of different government offices by these five persons which later proved to be fake, the complainant alleged in the complaint.

Upon receiving the complaint, Police Station  Janipur registered a case FIR No. 02/2018 U/S 420/467/468/471/120-B RPC and started the investigation, and during investigation, fake appointment letters with government logos, appointment orders etc. were seized.

A special investigation team was constituted for investigation of the case. During investigation, it was revealed that more persons from different parts of state were also involved in the scam who duped dozens of other un-employed youth.

These persons worked as motivators who would entice un-employed youth for government jobs against huge sum of money.

Investigation of the case is still on and more arrests are expected, the spokesman said.
