Five members of a family were killed after their housecollapsed in Ramnagar area of Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir lastnight.
Reports said that the house belonging to Raj Singh, a resident of Upper Barmeen sector Ramnagar, collapsed after a huge boulder rolled down from a hill, crushing his wife and four minor children.
The deceased were identified as Sharda Devi (35), wife ofRaj Singh and her three daughters – Aarti Devi (16), Anu Devi (14), Swani Devi(12) – and her son, identified as Pawan Singh (10).
Raj Singh, head of the family, was rescued by the villagersin an injured condition. He was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur fortreatment.
