Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former lawmaker, Chander Prakash Ganga Wednesday likened Prime Minister Narendra Modi to a deity and his scheduled rally on February 3 at Vijaypur to Kumbh Mela.

Modi is scheduled to visit Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.

"Main kehta hun ke kareeb Kareeb chaar-paanch lakh log PM Modi ko dekhne Vijaypur aa rahe hain……yeh bhi ek mahakumbh hai aur log iss kumbh mein darshan karne jaroor aaen (I am saying that around 4-5 lakh people are coming to see PM Modi at Vijaypur…. This is also a Mahakumbh and people should come to have a glimpse of him (Modi))," Ganga said, appealing people to join the PM's rally.

"A person of the stature of PM Modi, who lives in the hearts of the people, was never born before him. And we, the people of Vijaypur, are fortunate enough that the same person is visiting our town on February 3."

Ganga, former BJP legislator from Vijaypur appealed the youth "particularly school and college going boys and girls and my sisters to come and listen to our honourable PM."

"And the rally venue is so large that as many as 10 lakh people can be accommodated here. I, once again request the people of the state to attend this Kumbh Mela and pay obeisance to PM Modi and listen to the thoughts of around five other senior leaders from Delhi who will be accompanying him during his visit to the state on February 3," Ganga said.
