The Jammu and Kashmir government directed all treasury officers (TOs) to strictly adhere to expenditure reforms, in order to streamline spending in government departments to avoid last minute rush of expenditure.
A circular issued from the finance department read, “All thetreasury officers are hereby directed to strictly adhere to and implement thedirections issued by the finance department for streamlining spending ingovernment departments to avoid last minute rush of expenditure.”
Any treasury officer, the order states, found to havedeviated from the instructions shall have to explain for the same which may betaken note of.
