After four years, Jammu and Kashmir government will be holding an investiture ceremony on April 4 in Jammu to felicitate state awardees and Chief Minister's gold medal winners for honesty, integrity and meritorious public service.
The ceremony shall be held at General Zorawar Singh auditorium, Jammu, official sources said.
This would be first investiture ceremony by PDP-BJP collation government,
At the event, Governor N N Vohra, shall felicitate the awardees with citations while Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti shall give away CM gold medals for honesty, integrity and meritorious public service for years 2014, 2015 and 2017.
An official said that around 80 awardees in various categories including bravery, achievements in the field of literature, art and craft, social reforms and empowerment, meritorious public service, besides outstanding media, sports and industrial entrepreneurship and life time achievement would be felicitated at the gala. Meanwhile, the government has constituted several committees of officers to manage the event.
