Deputy Speaker Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Nazir Ahmad Gurezi today chaired a meeting with the officers to discuss the problems faced by inhabitants of Gurez due to irregular helicopter services during the winter season.
Principal secretary to Chief Minister Rohit Kansal, commissioner Civil Aviation P R Katoch, ADC Bandipora Khurshid Ahmad and others attended the meeting.
The Deputy Speaker impressed upon the concerned to ensure smooth and regular helicopter services from Bandipora to Gurez. He expressed serious concern over unsatisfactory chopper services being provided by the Pawan Hans Limited and asked the administration to ensure regular services. He said people especially ailing persons of Gurez are facing lot of difficulties due to closure of Bandipora-Gurez road during the winter season which needs to be looked into. He asked the government to make necessary arrangements for transportation of stranded passengers particularly the patients.
