The investiture ceremony 2019 of Army’s Northern Command will be held on February 7, here.
Lieutenant General, Ranbir Singh, General Officer Commander-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) Northern Command of Indian Army, will give away gallantry and distinguished service awards at command headquarters Udhampur, officials told Greater Kashmir.
“The army commander will also felicitate soldiers and police officials who have exhibited exceptional valour and dedication while discharging their duties,” an official said.
The civilians who assisted the army will also be felicitated on the occasion.
A large number of senior civil and military dignitaries are expected to attend the ceremony.
The investiture ceremony is a prestigious annual event for all military establishments.
