Jammu and Kashmir Police have paid rich tributes to late JK Governor, Gen (R) K V Krishna Rao, who passed away recently.

Jammu and Kashmir Police have paid rich tributes to late  JK Governor, Gen (R)  K V Krishna Rao, who passed away recently.

 In a statement here a Police spokesman said, "A condolence meeting under the chairmanship of Director General of Police (DGP), K Rajendra Kumar was held at Police Headquarters (PHQ) here today to mourn the demise of Gen (R)  K V Krishan Rao, former Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.   Rich tributes were paid to him and solidarity was expressed with the bereaved family." 

 The DGP K Rajendra, while expressing grief and sorrow, described late Rao as a "Visionary Army Chief and leader, who led the State as Governor twice in difficult times. Under his leadership the state witnessed tangible changes to make the administration more effective and efficient," he said. 

 He described him as a good advisor, planner and administrator who would be remembered for years, for his unmatched  contribution in steering the state towards the new heights during the peak of militancy. 

 The condolence meeting was attended by Additional Directors General of Police, SP Vaid, Navin Agerwal, VK Singh and S M Sahai, IGPs, H K Lohia and SL Sharma, AIG (Personnel) PHQ, Tahir Sajad Bhat and other police officers.
