JKPSCC holds conclave on ‘autonomy of private schools’

Jammu and Kashmir Private Schools Coordination Committee (JKPSCC) on Sunday organized a conclave on the topic ‘Autonomy of Private schools on Financial and Academic Aspects’ here in Hotel Ramada.

Jammu and Kashmir Private Schools Coordination Committee (JKPSCC) on Sunday organized a conclave on the topic 'Autonomy of Private schools on Financial and Academic Aspects' here in Hotel Ramada. 

The conclave was attended by different associations including Chenab Valley Association and Private Schools Association Kashmir. 

The agenda of the meeting was to work out the modalities to chalk out line of action, how all associations can work together and fight for the redressel of the issues of private schools. 

The programme started with presentation of agenda by JKPSCC president, Rameshwar Singh Manhas, which included coordination of all associations, issues of fee fixation, legal protection to the private schools.

While as Dheeraj Gupta, executive member of JKPSCC made power point presentation highlighting the various fee structures adopted by different states.

Balkaran Singh, Coordinator of the committee in his address focused on the objectives of the education and role of private schools.

Speaking on the occasion, JKPSCC working president Dr Hari Dutt Shishu, assured the delegates from Valley that private schools coordination committee has emerged as a force in Jammu province and it always stands like rock whenever there is injustice to any private school in the state. He further said that private schools coordination committee will always work hand in hand with our Kashmir counter parts, both in the interest of private schools as well as the students.

G N War, president of private schools association Kashmir in his address said that our focus should be more on our unity and finally it forms the basis where we can always fight for justice and get our issues resolved. He proposed to have joint conferences one in Jammu and one in Kashmir, annually to discuss issues of private schools and to ensure its smooth functioning. 

Sanjeet Kumar Sharma (Udhampur), Hafiz (Doda), Khursheed Ahmed (Kulgam), Dinesh Sharma (R S Pura), Mahipal Sharma (Kathua), Tariq Wani (Chenab valley), Sat Pal Badyal (Kathua), Pardeep Singh (Reasi), Mansoor Ahmed, Kursheed Bismal (Rajouri) and Rajesh Sharma also spoke on the occasion.
