
Jammu and Kashmir integrated child protection services (JKICPS) and child resource centre (CRC) organised a special one day workshop to familiarize the stakeholders with the child line service in Jammu division.
Child line India is a project of union ministry of women and child development. Child line India foundation is a non-government organisation (NGO) that operates a telephone helpline called Child line, for receiving information about children in distress. It is India's first 24-hour toll free phone outreach service (1098) for children.
Justice Hasnain Masoodi chairperson SCOC, was the chief guest on the occasion. He inaugurated the workshop and highlighted the role of child line as an emergency outreach services for children. He informed that process has already been initiated with child line India Foundation for establishing child line services across 22 districts of the state by 2020.
Member SCOC, Rajiv Khajuria, gave a brief perspective about the working of child line in J&K.
