Lal Singh’s brother arrested from Udaipur, Rajasthan

Police on Sunday arrested Choudhary Rajinder Singh alias Babby from Rajasthan who was absconding after a case was registered against him at Hirnagar police station for abusing the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti during a rally.

Police on Sunday arrested Choudhary Rajinder Singh alias Babby from Rajasthan who was absconding after a case was registered against him at Hirnagar police station for abusing the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti during a rally. 

Sources said that a special team of Kathua police along with Rajasthan police arrested Babby, the brother of former forest minister Choudhary Lal Singh, from Udaipur, Rajasthan.

"Yes, Babby was arrested early morning from Udaipur, Rajasthan by one of the police teams constituted for the purpose," SSP Kathua, Sridhar Patil told Greater Kashmir.

He said that the accused will be brought back to Kathua tomorrow. The SSP refused to share the operational details in the case.   

Pertinently, Babby used derogatory language against the Chief Minister during Dogra Swabhiman Rally in Kootah, Hiranagar on May 20. He was booked under section 509 of RPC and section 66 and 67 of IT Act at Hirnagar police station.
