Ladakh Buddhist Association, Youth Wing Zanskar (LBAYWZ) in collaboration with All Zanskar Student Association Jammu have condoled the demise of seven passengers in an avalanche in Khardungla top area of Ladakh region.
In a condolence meeting held here at Ladakh Sarai Jammu, the students studying outside Ladakh prayed for the departed souls. “The tragedy was heart-wrenching. We condole with the families of those who have lost their beloved ones and we pray that the injured recover quickly,” a condolence statement issued by LBAYWZ read.
Followed by the prayers, the student body urged the district administration to launch the rescue operation on war-footing to trace the missing persons.
They also appreciated the efforts of all the concerned in recovering the bodies of the missing persons.
