Lieutenant Governor (LG), Girish Chandra Murmu on Tuesday extended good wishes to people on the eve of birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna, DR Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar.
In his message, the LG observed that Dr Ambedkar dedicatedhis entire life for upliftment of deprived sections of the society. “Hebelieved that an ideal society can only be established by ensuring socialjustice and his services towards the mankind can never be forgotten,” said theLG.
The LG said Dr Ambedkar not only took a leading part inframing Indian Constitution, outlawing discrimination against untouchables, buthis initiatives have influenced various spheres of life and transformed the wayIndia today looks at socio-economic policies and education.
The LG urged people, especially younger generation to pursuethe ideals and messages of Dr Ambedkar which were relevant even today andcontribute towards strengthening principles of social justice and equality.
Meanwhile, Advisor to LG, KK Sharma extended greetings topeople on eve of birth anniversary of Dr Ambedkar.
In his message, the Advisor described Dr Ambedkar as one ofarchitects of modern India and said that he was the leading intellectual andlaw maker who did a major contribution in giving us the Constitution.
The Advisor asked people and youth to steadfastly pursue theideals and messages of the great intellectual, so that the nation comes up as aguide for the rest of the world in Social justice and equality among allsections and classes.
