Senior NC leader and MLA Kangan said Tuesday that the government has failed to make centrally sponsored schemes in PHE and Irrigation department functional.
“No funds are released to PHE from government of India and same is the case with Irrigation where no funds are released under NABARD,” he said during budget discussion in assembly.
He said the social welfare department has pending liabilities.
“Pension cases are pending in social welfare department and the government is not clearing this liability to make this department weak,” he said.
He said the government has failed to clear its liabilities saying that people who worked in Amarnath yatra last year are yet to get their money.
He castigated the government for its plans to hold Panchayat election and said, “Our MLAs are not in position to go their constituencies due to various circumstances and you are adamant to hold the Panchayat polls instead of maintaining peace in state.”
