The miscreants set ablaze cart of Gujjar community here late night on Monday, while police acted swiftly and made three arrests in the case.
Reports said two Gujjar men Manzoor from Morchapur and Kalu from Kalapul were carrying a bovine on their horse driven cart at Pandorian Brahamana village near Bishnah. The duo were stopped and allegedly beaten up by miscreants, it said.
Following the incident, police party rushed to the spot and prevented the situation from worsening.
“They were on their way towards their home, when cow vigilantes at Pandorian Brahamana village in Bishnah Teshil stopped them. Mob started shouting slogans against the local administration, police and blocked the road. The angry mob also set ablaze Gujjar cart,” witnesses said.
A police spokesman said attackers have been arrested.
Three people, Sikandar Singh, Sachin Kumar and Aman Deep have been identified and arrested so far,” he added.
