Nominations invited for Vigilance Commissioner

The Jammu and Kashmir government has set the ball rolling for the appointment of Vigilance Commissioner.

The state government has invited nominations from Administrative Secretaries for appointment of new CVC and Vigilance Commissioners in the SVC, an official spokesman said.

“The General Administration Department (GAD) vide OM dated 18.5.2018, sought nominations from the Administrative Secretaries for appointment against vacant position of Vigilance Commissioner in the Jammu and Kashmir State Vigilance Commission. A copy of the said QM is enclosed for ready reference,” the notification reads.

“As GAD received a limited number of nominations, it has been felt expedient to extend the date of submission of nominations,” it said.

Accordingly, all Administrative Secretaries are requested to submit fresh nominations for consideration against the vacant position of Vigilance Commissioner in the Jammu and Kashmir State Vigilance Commission. The nominations should reach the General Administration Department by or before January 20, 2019, beyond which no nomination shall be entertained.
