The Chief patron of Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) Bhim Singh on Monday said that one constitution and one flag from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and Imphal (Manipur) to Dwarka (Gujarat) is the only way to settle all the issues.
Addressing a national seminar organized by Rajasthan Patrika here, Bhim Singh said, "One flag, one constitution mantra would allow all the citizens of India to enjoy fundamental rights which are not available in the constitution of JK."
Prof Singh also called on the Parliament of India which is in session today to amend Article 370 without any delay to ensure that there is one Constitution from Kanyakumari to Kashmir and Imphal to Dwarka.
He said people should understand the problems of the Indian citizens in J&K who have not been guaranteed fundamental rights till this day and who have been put on a different flag in J&K in spite of the fact that the Kashmiri Muslim leadership did not allow Muhammad Ali Jinnah to hold a meeting in Kashmir in 1946.
Prof Bhim Singh regretted that accession of J&K state signed by Maharaja Hari Singh has not been endorsed by the Parliament till today only because Parliament of India failed in its duty.
