Various delegations called on Governor Satya Pal Malik here on Wednesday, an official spokesman said.
He said a delegation from Kargil led by former minister Qamar Ali Akhoon met Governor Malik and requested him to grant divisional status to Ladakh with rotational headquarters at Leh and Kargil and balanced distribution of various Head offices between both the districts of Ladakh region. The delegation raised many issues. The Governor assured them that their demands would be looked into.
A delegation of J&K Pahari Cultural and Welfare Forum led by its chairman Sharafat Ali Khan and Raja Aijaz Ali, former IGP, met Governor Malik and apprised him about various issues of Pahari people and requested him for expediting process for granting 3% reservation to Pahari people and granting Scheduled Tribe status to Pahari people.
Vice-chancellor Bihar Animal Sciences University, Patna, Dr Rameshwar Singh, Vice-chancellor Bihar Animal Sciences University, Patna, met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Dr Singh shared with Governor about the ongoing researches in the field of livestock improvement and strengthening of research and outreach programmes for overall development of Animal Husbandry sector in Bihar.
