The residents of Surya Vihar, Patta Bohri, Jammu, have been facing acute shortage of drinking water since the last more than a month.
"There is no adequate water supply in our area for the past around one month and it has become very difficult for the people of the area to carry out their day-to-day works," the residents complained. The residents further said that women along with children have to bring drinking water from far off places to meet daily requirements but the PHE Department is not taking any initiative to supply adequate drinking water in the area.
The concerned PHE Inspector Anil Kumar when contacted he said, "Due to strike of employees of PHE Department and unequal distribution from Bohri Station, the water supply got partly effected".
The residents appealed the concerned authorities to look into the matter to ensure that people of Patta Bohri get adequate water supply to meet their daily needs. GKNN
