As aresource person, Dr Manhas delivered motivational lecture before the teachershere and cited example of a sculpture who made a beautiful statue of LordKrishna out of an ordinary stone in the forest with his efforts, while thestone was also motivated enough that it bear all the strikes to achieve thegoal i.e. to become a good shaped statue to be honoured in society.

Quotinga story, Manhas said that one sculpture maker was passing though a way when hefound a stone on his way. “He wanted to carve a beautiful statue out of thisordinary stone. The sculpture tried to convince the stone that though you(stone) will face some problem while being shaped, but you will become abeautiful statue,” he said.

He said that when the stone did not agree, the sculpture maker went ahead and found another stone on his way and that stone agreed to be shaped knowing that he would face some problems while being shaped into a Lord Krishna’s statue.

“This artist made an attractive sculpture of Lord Krishna out of second stone that too was an ordinary. Later, he installed this statue inside a temple in the village where villagers offered followers, fruits and other things as a mark of respect, while the first stone that did not agree to be shaped remained on the way (path side),” he said, while asking teachers which stone they want to become.
