PULWAMA BLAST AFTERMATH: Vested political interests engineering divide: Harsh

Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP), chairman, Harsh Dev Singh Tuesday urged the civil society and youth to expose and oppose the nefarious designs of political forces, who, as he termed, “were trying to create a divide among the people for political motives”.

The JKNPP chairman, while addressing a youth convention here, said, “We (Jammu) have an age old history of communal harmony and brotherhood which cannot be allowed to be subverted by reckless politicians, for promoting their narrow parochial political interests.”

While talking about the reports of arson and violence, pouring in from various parts of the state, during the last couple of days, Singh urged upon the youth to not fall prey to nefarious designs of disruptive forces. “We need to unite to face the onslaught of the enemy, rather than falling in the trap of opportunist politicians. We have to send the message of a united India. We need to stand by the nation and express solidarity with the slain soldiers. We cannot trivialize the supreme sacrifice of our valiant soldiers by resorting to hate campaign and violence engineered by vested interests. The youth has to carry forward the age old legacy of mutual accommodation and goodwill in the ultimate interests of a stronger and powerful India,” he said.

While taking a dig at Bharatiya Janata Party, he said, “They (BJP) are condemning Mehbooba Mufti and her party after having served with for over three years and having promoted her agenda in the state. Such tantrums could no more inspire the people of Jammu. Such statements being made after loss of power only evoke cynicism, rather them appreciation.”
