Respond in befitting manner to adversary: DG BSF to troops
Director General Border Security Force (BSF) K K Sharma on Wednesday asked the troops to remain vigilant and respond in befitting manner to adversary, if situation arise.
As per an official handout, DG was interacting with troops, manning International Border at Jammu Frontier.
Sharma asked the troops to maintain optimum level of alertness and respond in the benefiting manner to adversary, in necessity arises.
While interacting, DG also mentioned the sacrifice of Constable Nitin Kumar who laid done life in Baramulla and expressed satisfaction over capabilities and high morale of BSF troops.
The DG's visit came in light after escalating tension between and Pakistan on the borders following Army's 'Surgical Strike' in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir.
BSF spokesperson said that DG reviewed over all operational readiness along the IB fallen in Jammu frontier. He added that DG was briefed by IG D K Upadhyaya on overall situation and operational preparedness.
"Sharma also interacted with field commanders and asked them to maintain highest level alertness in their respective Area of Responsibility," spokesperson said.
