Scores of Rehbar e Taieem teachers working under SSA today protested in winter capital against what they said lackadaisical approach of the state government in solving their issues including release of pending salaries.

They also slammed the government for ordering the screening Test of ReTs.

As per a press release, the teachers from all Districts of the state, under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Rehbar e Taieem Teachers Forum (JKReTTF) assembled at   Press Club Jammu and lodged a storng protest.

Carrying placards and banners, they castigated state authorities for their irresponsible approach towards finding a lasting solution for the issues of Rehbar e Taieem issues.

Talking to reporters, Forum Chairman Farooq Ahmad Tantray said the Rehbar e Taieem teaching fraternity has been left with no option but to hit streets to seek   solution of the issues being confronted by them.

He said the ReTs including Head Teachers working under SSA were without salaries from last five months. The financial constraints have made their life miserable    as their families are at the verge of                                                    starvation.

Farooq Ahmad Tantray also flayed the movement over raking up the controversial Screening Test issue again to harass the Rehbar e Taieem teachers who have acquired degrees through distance mode from reputed and recognized Universities. He claimed that the High Court has already passed an order exempting   Distance Mode degree holders but the Commissioner Secretary Education is raking up the issue again just to stall the regularization process of these   teachers.
