Returning Officer 6-Jammmu parliamentary constituency, Ramesh Kumar, Wednesday convened a meeting of AROs, Nodal Officers and senior officers of departments concerned to review the arrangements for counting of votes.
The Returning Officerasked for establishment two halls and control rooms at Polytechnic College andMAM College Jammu for counting of votes on 23 May, an official handout said.
He also asked forprovision for media gallery and waiting hall for election agents andcandidates.
The Returning Officerasked the district administration to put in place an appropriate mechanism toensure that the counting process is conducted in most professional andefficient manner. He emphasized on elaborate plan for security arrangements,deployment of staff, counting of votes and mechanism for declaration ofresults.
