Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Sunil Gupta today held a crime review meeting of Police Sub-Division City South, Jammu and directed to improve quality of investigation in all cases.
The main focus of the meeting was to improve the quality of investigation of accident cases, Motor vehicle theft, burglary, NDPS Act and other cases.
Regarding report of missing persons, inquest proceedings, arrest of absconders and action taken under preventive measures were also reviewed during the meeting.
During the meeting, SSP briefed officers about ongoing Shri Amarnath yatra and exhorted the officers to remain extra vigilant and alert during the yatra.
Gupta also directed officials to stay alert and take necessary precautionary measures to defeat the evil designs of anti-national and antisocial elements.
Gupta also stressed the need to intensify random checking and organize short and long-range patrolling in far-off and inaccessible areas.
He also directed the Police Stations staff to conduct foot patrolling in their respective jurisdiction. The investigating staff was also directed to conduct the investigation of cases with zeal, dedication and with transparency at an earliest possible time in the public interest and bring the pendency to the minimum.
SP City South Sandeep Choudhary, Chief Prosecuting officer Parshant Mahajan, SDPO City South Rafiq Manhas, Station House Officers 's of Police station Gandhi Nagar, Satwari, Gangyal, Incharge of Police Posts under Sub-Div. City South and Investigating Officers of these units attended the meeting.
