Three boxes of currency notes, bagful of coins recovered from homeless woman's shelter in Jammu

Employees of local municipal committee in Nowshera area of Jammu were taken by surprise on Tuesday after recovering three plastic boxes filled with currency notes and a jute bag full of currency coins from the shabby makeshift shelter of a homeless elderly woman, officials said.

The elderly woman who used to wander in the streets of Nowshera town was on Monday shifted to a government accommodation with employees from the concerned municipal committee sent by the local administration to search the woman's belongings, Additional Deputy Commissioner Nowshera, Sukhdev Singh Sambyal told Greater Kashmir.
