A three-day RTI training programme for senior officers ofvarious departments was organized here at Sidhra camp of Jammu and KashmirInstitute of Management and Public Administration on Sunday.
As per the release, the programme was organized in supportwith the Jammu and Kashmir State Information Commission.
On the 1st day, Narinder Singh Bali, secretary, StateInformation Commissioner along with Prof Sunita Zalpuri Kaul, programcoordinator and head, Center for good governance and administrative reforms,JKIMPA inaugurated the training program in presence of Ghulam Nabi Ganie, jointregistrar; Sunil Kumar, deputy secretary; Shahnawaz Ahmed, CAO; Satish Thaploo,extension officer; Zahoor Ahmed, law officer and Zaheer Abbas, legal assistantJKSIC.
During the three days program, the participating officersgot the opportunity to interact with former information commissioner, Dr SKSharma and cleared their misconception and misinterpretations about differentprovisions of the Right to Information Act and other allied laws. Other inhouse faculty members who interacted with the participants and shared theirexpertise on the subject include Prof Sunita Zalpuri Kaul, Dr Rachna, Dr Ruchiand Dr Jyoti Sandhu, advocate Aseem Sawhney and Raman Sharma.
On the concluding day, the trainees were also awardedparticipation certificates by the senior officers of the JKSIC and JKIMPA.
